Perseverance & Assurance in Faith

In Hebrews 10:24-25, believers are urged to consider one another to stir up love and good works, and to not forsake assembling together, especially as the Day of the Lord approaches. The importance of fellowship and encouragement among believers is emphasized, particularly in times of trial and persecution. Jerry Mongello teaches on Hebrews 10:24-39.

Heb 10:5-13  Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU DID NOT DESIRE, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME. IN BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN YOU HAD NO PLEASURE. THEN I SAID, ‘BEHOLD, I HAVE COME— IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME— TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.'” Previously saying, “SACRIFICE AND OFFERING, BURNT OFFERINGS, AND OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU DID NOT DESIRE, NOR HAD PLEASURE IN THEM” (which are offered according to the law), then He said, “BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.

Mat_26:64  Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.” 

Mar_12:36  For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: ‘THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, “SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, TILL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES YOUR FOOTSTOOL.” ‘ 

Mar_14:62  Jesus said, “I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” 

Mar_16:19  So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 

Act_2:33  Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. Act_5:31  Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 

Act_7:55  But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 

Act_7:56  and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” 

Rom_8:34  Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 

Eph_1:20  which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

All that God the Father has for mankind: Blessing, Salvation, Protection, Glorification, Eternal relationship with Him, comes from His Right Hand- Jesus!  Always has, Always will!

Heb 10:12  But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 

Heb 10:13  from that time waiting (ekdomahi- to accept from some source) till His enemies are made His footstool. 

Psa 110:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord,”Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” 

Psa 110:2  The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! 

Psa 110:3  Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth. 

Psa 110:4  The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.” 

Psa 110:5  The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. 

Psa 110:6  He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries. 

Psa 110:7  He shall drink of the brook by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.

Heb 10:14  For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 

John 17:18-26  As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. Heb 10:15  But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, 

Heb 10:16  “THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND IN THEIR MINDS I WILL WRITE THEM,” 

Heb 10:17  then He adds, “THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” 

Jer 31:31-34  “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD.  But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” 

Heb 10:18-23  Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Heb 10:24-25  And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. 

1Th 5:1-11  But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.  For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.  For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.  For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.  For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
