What in the world is going on? Part 7-23-23
CONSENSUS:
Neil DeGrasse famously quoted “I’m only interested in consensus. The Individual scientist does not matter”.
He has also said that if scientific consensus is arrived at, it is in the best public interest to follow the consensus in all cases.
Consensus mentality states that if the overwhelming majority of scientists (or any other group of people opining on a certain subject) agree, then it MUST be right!
Here’s the problem: That is not always right!
Galileo
Newton
Pasteur
Einstein
And countless other innovators have done their best work when thinking outside the accepted consensus!
This does not mean that just because someone poses a theory outside accepted knowledge that he is correct either!
Darwin is an example.
The issue arises when the “majority” silences the few, and turns them into “deniers”.
Politicians, scientists, and people in general organize into herds, with fierce loyalty to the herd above all else!
“climate deniers”, COVID deniers, Science deniers; These are all tactics to ostracize all who even dare to question what the majority purport to be true.
Questioning is a basic fundamental quest for what is true. If we replace questioning with “going along with” then we have forfeited our personal accountability.
Questioning involves not only facts, but motives!
Mat 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
Mat 7:16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
Mat 7:17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Mat 7:20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Climate change is but one example.
Over the past 55 years we have been bombarded with doomsday predictions using “the science” to influence virtually every aspect of our lives.
The issue is not whether or not we believe in it (you can do your own research, the data is available to all), the issue is that we are not allowed to question it!
If we’re not allowed to question it, then we certainly are not allowed to dissent with the “learned solutions” we must all follow to correct it.

By their fruits you will know them…
The world is heading towards globalization as predicted in Scripture but we are not to fear.
Sue shared this with me just this morning:
Astrophysicist Hugh Ross tells of his adventure in coming to realize the veracity of Scripture; He went through the Bible cover to cover and discovered over 200 instances where the Bible predicted future scientific discoveries. He then calculated the odds that the Biblical authors could come up with these predictions on their own, without the assistance of the God who created the universe, and arrived at the odds of 1 in 10 x300 power.
This ultimately led him to accept that if the Bible were true, then its contents were also true, which meant he was accountable to his Maker and he ultimately gave his life to Jesus.
For the Christian with a Biblical worldview our statement should be GOD’s statement:
Rom 3:1 What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision?
Rom 3:2 Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.
Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Rom 3:4 Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND MAY OVERCOME WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.”

Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence.
Scientific methodology includes the following:
Objective observation: Measurement and data (possibly although not necessarily using mathematics as a tool)
Evidence
Experiment and/or observation as benchmarks for testing hypotheses
Induction: reasoning to establish general rules or conclusions drawn from facts or examples
Repetition
Critical analysis
Verification and testing: critical exposure to scrutiny, peer review and assessment
Science is not a religion, although many act like it is!
It is not to be believed in at all costs, unquestioned, unchallenged, undeniable.
By its very nature science requires examining all of the available data, measuring and observing hypothesis and theory, repeating these steps until a factual, repeatable outcome is achieved.
Using science to displace the God who created everything that science can observe, or to politicize for individual or corporate gain, or to use as a weapon to control the masses goes against what should be the objectivity of the endeavor.
Looking Biblically at climate change for example, we are told that the world will NOT end due to man made climate change.
There will be horrific natural disasters and widespread disruptions during the final 7 years, but they won’t be caused by us;
Rev 6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as a sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
Rev 6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it was rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
Rev 6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
Rev 6:17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
Nor will this be the end.
Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;
Rev 20:3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
THIS will be the Kingdom that God desires! HIS kingdom was established with HIS king as ruler!
Psa 2:1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
Psa 2:6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
Psa 2:7 “I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
Psa 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
Psa 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
Psa 2:10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Mat 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
The Prophet Isaiah describes the awesome conditions that exist during the Millennium, as does the Prophet Ezekiel.
There will be unparalleled beauty, justice, provision, and health during this time with Jesus on His throne, so it stands to reason that we don’t kill the planet!
Christian, don’t be afraid, nor let fear rule and reign over your life!
Mat 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
Mat 24:5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
Mat 24:6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Mat 24:9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
Mat 24:10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Mat 24:11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Mat 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Mat 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ‘ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),
Mat 24:16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Mat 24:17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.
Mat 24:18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
Mat 24:19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
Mat 24:20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
Mat 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
Mat 24:23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.
Mat 24:24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Mat 24:25 See, I have told you beforehand.
Mat 24:26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
Mat 24:27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Mat 24:28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
Mat 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Mat 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Yes it’s true the enemy is preparing a global world empire to rule over, but it’s temporary!
It’s temporary because GOD is preparing a Kingdom for His Son to rule over, which will never be thrown down or broken!!!
Will you hear this phrase;
(Mat 25:23) His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
IF so, then be not afraid, your day is coming!
However, If you don’t know Jesus, (or more importantly He doesn’t know you!), you have good reason to be afraid!
Luk 21:26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Globalism cannot save you, capitalism cannot save you, political activism cannot save you, crushing the truth of Scripture and removing the name of Jesus from ever being mentioned cannot save you!
Only Jesus can save!
Act 4:10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.
Act 4:11 This is the ‘STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED BY YOU BUILDERS, WHICH HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE.’
Act 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
